WAYS TO HELP IN THE SEARCH FOR MADELEINE

Every single person who visits this website can help in the search for Madeleine. Here are some suggestions as to ways in which YOU can help. Contact us here with your own suggestions.

REPORT WHAT YOU KNOW
If think you have ANY information relating to Madeleine's disappearance - no matter how trivial you think it might be - please contact Crimestoppers:

In the UK please call 0800 555 111

From outside the UK, call 00 44 18 83 73 133

WERE YOU IN THE PRAIA DA LUZ AREA?
If you were in the Praia Da Luz area around Thursday, 3rd May 2007 and haven't made yourself known to the police, please do so. You may not think you have any information, but knowing you were there could help the police build up their picture of that evening's events. Call the above numbers.

Also, the British police are seeking holiday photos from people who were in the Praia Da Luz area during the two weeks prior to 3rd May. if you have any such photos, please click here for details on how to get them to the police.

SUPPORT THE McCANN FAMILY
The McCann family have launched 'Madeleine's Fund: The Leaving No Stone Unturned Appeal'. The purpose of the appeal is to help find Madeleine, support her family in Portugal and bring whoever abducted her to justice. Click here for details on how to contribute to the fund.

BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR MADELEINE
Right now, Madeleine could be anywhere in Europe, or perhaps even further afield. It's vital that everyone keep her image in mind.

Medical professionals, airport/airline/ferry/rail staff, immigration officials and others who regularly come into contact with children are asked to be extra vigilant.

Madeleine has a very distinctive right eye. Please look.

BE AWARE OF THOSE AROUND YOU
Someone, somewhere knows the person(s) who took Madeleine, even if they're unaware of the fact. Nobody exists in a vacuum and nobody can abduct a child without changing their usual routine in some way.

Think about everyone you know, be they friends, family, co-workers, neighbours or any other acquaintance. Have you noticed any unexplained changes in their behaviour recently? If concerned, report your suspicions.

ADD A LINK TO YOUR EMAIL SIGNATURE
Add a link to this or one of the other 'Find Maddie' sites to your email signature. That way, every time you send an email you're reminding someone about Madeleine. If you run a business, get your staff to do the same.

STICK UP SOME POSTERS!
Visit our posters page and download and print them out. Put them on noticeboards, lamp posts, in your window, in shop windows, on bus shelters. It doesn't matter where in the world you are. Every poster helps spread the word.

WEAR A WRISTBAND
Wearing an official wrsitband will remind you and people who see it to remain vigilant for Madeleine. You can buy the wristbands here.

GOT A WEBSITE, BLOG, MYSPACE PAGE, MESSAGEBOARD etc?
The internet is a vital tool in the search for Madeleine. If you have a site, no matter what kind of site it is, you can help find Madeline by linking to this or other 'find Maddie' websites. You can post topics on messageboards, or make blog posts about Madeleine. There are lots of posters and photos on this site that you can use. Wherever possible, try to make use of the photo showing her distinctive right eye. You can even set up your own website dedicated to Madeleine.

TIE A YELLOW RIBBON
The yellow ribbon is known around the world as a symbol reminding people of those who are missing or away from home and in danger, such as soldiers in Iraq. Right now, the yellow ribbon is becoming synonymous with the search for Madeleine. Tie a yellow ribbon to your gate, or display one in your window. Maybe even wear a ribbon in your hair! Every time someone sees a yellow ribbon, they will be reminded of Madeleine.
